Lesson #3: It takes bad days to make good days

I've lived by this lesson for quite sometime. It's not something I learned last week, but I thought that it would be beneficial and valuable for y'all as we head into finals and more stressful times.

I am clueless as to how I came by this lesson. Was it some motivational quote from a YT or Instagram? Did I have a magnificent epiphany one random night? Was it a bit of both? I have no clue, but this lesson has changed my mindset and perspective on life in such an impactful way.

The lesson is very straight-forward, and I wish that everyone who is reading this takes a few minutes to just think about the lesson. It takes bad days to make good days. That's it, that is the lesson. Just think about it for a few minutes. Stare off into the distance and just think about your past experiences, your past challenges that you overcame, all the moments where you felt the world was going to end. That moment where you felt anxious about a test, or nervous about asking someone to dance, or scared of trying something new. How is it affecting you now?

You might be going through a low-point right now. Matter of fact, some experiences are going to scar you forever and you'll have to live through it your whole life. If there is one think to take away from this is that it takes bad days to make good days. You cannot have good days on repeat, simply because those days would just be normal days. You can't have the fun exciting drop on the rollar-coaster without going up at a frighteningly slow pace where everyone is holding their breath. You're going to have days where you feel exhausted and sad, where nothing seems to be going right, where past experiences come back to haunt you. Just know that through an optimistic lens, you can also have days where life feels amazing. You'll have days where you will ace that one test, days where that person will say yes to dance, days where that new thing that you tried will feel like spectacular.
